Ada Nilsen (NO)
Ada Nilsen (b. 1990) Oslo, Norway) lives and works in Oslo and Malmö. She holds a BA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo and Stockholm University.
She has participated in exhibitions at Hulias, Bunny’s Garage and Emanuel Vigeland’s mausoleum. She is also a co-founder of the record label New World Entertainment.
Kristian Engelsen (NO)
Kristian Engelsen (b. 1989 based in Oslo) has a background in film and photography (BFA in film from The National Filmschool 2016). Kristian works with sculptures, painting and film focusing on mysteries and mythological constructions of what is hidden underneath rhetorical claims of truths.
Aksel Ree (NO)
Aksel Ree (Hamar, 1993) is a visual artist who works in marble. He holds a bachelor degree in interior architecture (2019) from Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
Hedda Hørran (NO)
Hedda (b. 1989) studied at Forfattarstudiet i Bø, holds a BA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Trondheim, and an MA from the Oslo Academy of Fine Arts.
Working with found objects and materials such as trees, t-shirts, jewellery, stones, metal, gloves, bugs, hair, flowers, Monster Energy, shoes, dirt, food, leaves, sand, keys and doors… she creates sculptures and builds immersive environments. Everything plays its own part in, and contributes to the scenic situation that Hedda creates.
Marthin Espeland (NO)
Marthin Espeland (b.1990, Stavanger) lives and works in Oslo, Norway. He Holds a BFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo.
Lars Nordby (NO)
Lars Nordby (b.1988, Norway) lives and works in Hamar, Norway, and Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria. Nordby holds a MFA at the Oslo National Academy of Arts in Norway (2016).
Solo exhibitions include Restaging Parallax at ICA - Institute of Contemporary Art in Sofia, Bulgaria (2022); White Card Wardrobe Plot at Gallery Reneenee in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (2021); Zinc White Lard at Galleri Sol in Bornholm, Denmark (2021); Old Laughter and Synonyms for Actors at Rafael Mihaylov in Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria (2018); Tango, or Echoes of Conditional Self-Assertion at Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo, Norway (2016); Dear Hilesh at Chicago Art Department, in Chicago, USA (2015); and To Tole at Poznan Biennale in Poznan, Poland (2015). Lars Nordby is also a freelance curator and run the contemporary art gallery Heerz Tooya in Veliko Turnovo in Bulgaria, and is the director of the artist residency ARV.International in Vishovgrad in Bulgaria.
Kaare Ruud (NO)
Kaare Ruud (b. 1993, Gausdal) lives and works in Oslo and graduated with an MFA from Oslo National Academy of the Arts in 2020. Ruud’s artistic practice mainly focuses on sculptural interventions and sculptural work in a range of dif­fer­ent and untraditional materials.
Ruud has had solo shows at Samlingen, Nesodden (2023), Heerz Tooya, Veliko Tarnovo (2022), SOL, Nexø (as Simpathy with Mikkel Carlsen, 2022) Hulias, Oslo (2022), Norsk Billedhoggerforening, Oslo (2020/2021) Galleri Toll, Stockholm (2021) and Løvens Hule, Oslo (2019) Ruud has also been included in group shows at STANDARD, Oslo (2021) QB gallery, Oslo (2021/2022) Hulias, Oslo (2020), Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo (2020) Vestlandsutstillingen (2020) and The Annual Autumn Exhibition at Kunst­nernes Hus (2017).
Forthcoming he will present works at CANTINA, Aarhus (2023), Stormen kunst/dájdda, Bodø (2023) and a residency at Cite des Arts Paris in 2023/24
Mia Van Veen (NO)
Mia Van Veen is a visual artist based in Oslo. She holds a (BFA) degree from Emily Carr university (CA) and graduated (MA) from Iceland University of the arts in 2017.
Her work has been exhibited at ISCA gallery (NO), Sunset Terrace (CA), Trapp gallery (CA), Untitled art fair Miami (US), Hulias (NO/IT), Billedhoggerforeningen / Norwegian sculptor association, QB gallery (NO), Mengi (IS).
Kristoffer Zeiner (NO)
Kristoffer Zeiner (b. 1987) holds a BA in Interior Architecture from the Oslo Academy of the Arts, and an MA from the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam, where he lives and works. Zeiner runs the projectspace Reneenee in Amsterdam.
His works are shown in galleries and exhibition venues around Europe but mainly in the Netherlands: Gallery Juliet Jongma (NL 2017), Bologna (NL 2017,2018, 2020), Gallery Heerz Tooya (BL 2019), TAM (BL 2019), ClapTrap (BE 2020), Still Making Art (NL 2020), Reneenee (NL 2020).
Isak Wisløff (NO)
Isak Wisløff (born in 1989) resides and operates in Oslo, Norway. Wisløff's artistic practice is characterized by its multifaceted and interdisciplinary nature.
In collaboration with three fellow artists, he actively participates in the management of Hulias, an artist-run off-space located in Oslo. Additionally, Wisløff contributes to the field of education as an Assistant Professor at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. His practice primarily focuses on paintings and sculptures that involve a range of materials and techniques. Three key principles form the conceptual framework of his work: recognizing that every individual is composed of flesh, guts, and bones; acknowledging that everyone engages in the consumption of goods and culture; and understanding that everyone possesses a spiritual dimension in some form.
Jørn Aagaard (NO)
Jørn Aagaard (b. 1989) is a visual artist based in Oslo, Norway. He holds an MA in visual communication from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and is one of the founders of Hulias.
Øyvind Bast (NO)
Øyvind Bast Lie works with several techniques, but with a focus on sculpture. By using traditional techniques and materials such as clay, plaster, stone and bronze, he retrieves components and fragments from a fictional space. The works often contain cultural-historical references – both from architecture, art, religion, building practices and folk art.
Øyvind runs the artist-run exhibition space Hulias in Oslo together with Isak Wisløff, Jørn Aagaard and Mads John Thomseth.
