Spencer Lai (AU)
Spencer Lai is a Malaysian-Australian artist based in Melbourne interested in the impact of consumerism, cultural objects, and ephemera on identity. His work engages with a range of artistic mediums, including sculptural compositions, drawing, installation and expanded paintings to explore connections between design, education, desire, and the self. Current and recent exhibitions include Writing Clothes: An Exhibition of Fashion Text at the Fashion Research Library and National Museum, Oslo; SCA Gallery, Sydney; Theta, New York; Neon Parc, Melbourne; and Holden Garage, Berlin.
Maria Gorodeckaya (RU/GB)
Maria Gorodeckaya is a multidisciplinary artist based in London who engages in writing, performance, sculpture, sound, and photography. Gorodeckaya’s works often set the stage for fantasy scenarios that explore the power dynamics between herself and other subjects in attempts to both feed the urge for and reinstate agency when faced with an impossible object of desire. She received her MFA from Goldsmiths College in 2015. Her work has been exhibited at Roland Ross, Margate; Almanac, London; Almanac Inn, Turin; Cosmoscow Biennial; Roman Road Gallery, London; Kiev International Biennial and Jupiter Woods, London.
Giles Thackway (AU)
Giles Thackway is an Australian artist who lives and works in London. His practice moves beyond predefined categories of medium to investigate the influence that infrastructure and the built environment have on our moods, emotions, habits and behaviours. Through sculpture and other mediums, he explores how examples of architecture, logistics, online platforms and financial structures create spaces and produce subjects. Thackway received his MFA from Goldsmiths College in 2020. He has exhibited in Australia, Asia, Europe, and North America.
Doris Guo (US)
Doris Guo is an American artist who lives and works in Oslo. The ambiences of the day-to-day remain a starting point of her practice as she works with readymades and the visual languages of interior spaces. Rather than providing an explicit narrative that her sculptures become remnants of, she suggests oblique narratives and feelings by repurposing and recreating disparate objects and materials worn by human usage.Guo is an MFA graduate from Oslo National Academy of the Arts, and holds a BFA from Pratt Institute, NY. Her work has been shown in solo exhibitions at Empty Gallery, Hong Kong; VI, VII, Oslo; Veronica, Seattle; inge, Plainview, NY; Éclair, Berlin; Derosia, New York; Princess, New York and Real Fine Arts, New York.
Ewa Poniatowska (PL)
Ewa Poniatowska is a Polish musician, artist and performer based in London. Alongside her solo endeavour Ewa Awe, she is part of the music and performance project Rat Section. Her visual work and music performances have been presented at ICA, London; Konstförening Malmö; Galerina, London; Arcadia Missa x Galerina, London; and Sweetwater, Berlin.
